With the team now in Division 3, Stewart wanted to establish a team that could help with another assault on the championship. He looked at higher league teams and set about persuading some big name players to join Baguley Athletic. Rico To and Daniel Holdsworth were signed from Baguley Juniors to form a dynamic midfield partnership with Story, Wallis and Osebi Abedeki. Also from Baguley Juniors came Jake Ashcroft, whose consistent performances at right back saw him play in all their league and cup games and also clinch Managers' Player and Players' Player of the year in his first season. Thomas Holmes was brought in to complete the defense at left back. He was signed from local rivals Lisbon St. Anthonys' after the club collapsed. Stewart had been after Holmes for two years since playing Lisbon in his first friendly in charge. With the new players bringing a different class of football and a more professional attitude, Baguley Athletic went on to clinch their second title in two years, after a tense last day, defeating High Lane Juniors 1 - 0 to lift the Division 3 trophy ahead of them. |

| Baguley Athletic are an amateur football club based in Baguley, Manchester. They were formed in 2000 as Woodhouse Park United JFC | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Established in 2000 as Woodhouse Park United by then chairman Andrew Cloake. The club consisted of just one junior team and played in the Stockport Metropolitan Junior Football League. It wasn't until 2003 that Woodhouse Park United established a new team, with the addition of an Under 13's squad later Baguley Athletic. Woodhouse Park United Under 13s first season went from bad to worse, as they finished the league in last place, disqualification from both local cups and the sacking of the manager Mike Davies |

With limited funding available Baguley Athletic were forced to fold for the following two seasons. Many of the players and fans believed that they could have clinched the Division 2 trophy had they entered, as the Stockport Metro JFL had disbanded into just two leagues, leaving most of Athletics' previous opponents in Division 2. In June 2008, an unsuccessful attempt to reform the team failed after gaining no support from local businesses for funding. |

In April 2004, Paul Stewart was appointed as the new manager of the now depleted Under 14s squad. Stewart strengthened the squad in his first 2 months in charge. His most influential signing was that of Matthew Davenport from Baguley Juniors ( a team three divisions higher ). Long serving players Martyn Story, Chris Wallis and Reece White were used to build the team around, and Scott McGahey was placed between the posts. These players would go on to win a number of individual awards over the next 4 years. With the team lingering in 4th place in the league, and after a disappointing cup exit the squad was re-enforced during the December break. |

Baguley Athletic will reform for the 2009/10 with teams ranging from Under 9s through to Open Age. It will also include an all new girls team. |

Clarke Broderick came in to forge a solid defensive partnership with Davenport whilst Glenn Stobo gave the team more attacking options, and after scoring 2 goals on his debut would go on to bag 158 goals over the next three and a half years. The team ended the season in 3rd place, with many suggesting they were cheated of promotion at the hands of Richmond Rovers, who beat Baguley 3-2 on the last day of the season, with the referee playing over 8 minutes injury time. |
The Club has been re-branded and is also hoping to move to a newly formed home ground. |

After the teams hard work and efforts, Paul Stewart decided to disband the team away from Woodhouse Park United. He reformed the team as Baguley Athletic, after moving to a new home ground in Baguley. All the players stayed signed onto the club, however they did lose stalwart Scott McGahey to Premiership outfit Wythenshawe Amateurs just before the season started. Steven Richards was brought in to replace him and fortunately turned out to be just the right person to fill the gloves. A fine run of form (which includes an unbeaten home record which still stands today) saw the team crowned Division 4 Champions with six games still left to go. |
